Staff Profiles

Ted Cunningham is the founding pastor of Woodland Hills Community Church. His passion is to help people who have given up on the church but not God. Ted also speaks and writes for the Smalley Relationship Center and The National Institute for Marriage. He has worked with Gary Smalley on The DNA of Relationships, Your Relationship With God, Food and Love, and the latest work by Gary called I Promise, which is a partnership with Purpose Driven Ministries.  Ted is a graduate of Liberty University and Dallas Theological Seminary. Married for ten years to his wife, Amy, they have two wonderful children, Corynn and Carson. They have called Branson, Missouri home for the past six years.

Ted Burden and his wife Jo joined Woodland Hills in the summer of 2004. Ted is a native Oklahoman and has been in ministry for over 34 years in Missouri. Ted and Jo have two grown children, Bryce and Lindsey (Smith). Ted’s pastoral duties include leading the worship team, mission’s ministry, and assists with counseling/coaching.

Amy Cunningham is the Children’s Ministry Director at Woodland Hills. Amy is married to Ted Cunningham and they have two beautiful and energetic children, Corynn and Carson. Amy has served in the Woodland Hills Children’s Ministry from the start of our church. Prior to becoming our Children’s Director, Amy was specifically over Critter Street for three years. In the past, she taught school in both kindergarten and first grade. Her passion is children and seeing them come to Christ at an early age.

Brenda Pannell serves on the Woodland Hills team as Team Builder for Children’s Ministry. Brenda has been involved in Children’s Ministry over the past seven years as a pre-school choir leader, Awana Cubbies Co-Director and nursery volunteer. She was also involved in her husband’s ministry as a youth pastor for six years, serving as a Sunday school teacher, camp counselor and mentor to teenage girls. Brenda and her family have been attending Woodland Hills since they moved from Oklahoma in the spring of 2005. Brenda’s husband, Ryan, is a staff counselor at Doulos and they have two children, Caitlin and Braden. 

Stephanie Watson is the Creative Director for the Children’s Ministry. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Business. Stephanie has been involved with Children’s Ministries as a Sunday school teacher, Craft Director for Awana (Cubbies), member of the Children’s Ministry team, Vacation Bible School Teacher and Craft Director, etc. Stephanie is married to Andy and they have three children, Sam, Lucy and Emma.

Denise Bevins serves on the Woodland Hills team as Assimilation Director. It is her passion to get you connected with a small group or mentor and to plug you into an opportunity to serve. Denise has been married 32 years to Don and has two children, Cedric and Savonah, and one grandson, Cooper. She and Don have been in Branson since 2000 when they relocated here from California. 

Pam Strayer is an executive assistant for the Woodland Hills Church Office. She is married to John, and has one grown daughter, Misti, one daughter at home, Megan, and five grandchildren. Pam has the spiritual gift of administration and has worked in that field for 24 years. She and her family have members of Woodland Hills since 2004.

Kim Fertig works as the Communications Assistant in the church office. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and theatre, along with a master’s in management. Before moving to Branson in 2004, Kim served on staff at Topeka Bible Church as the director of the Single Mom’s Ministry in Topeka, KS. Her husband, Todd, works at Doulos Ministries where he serves as the principal of its school for troubled teens. He also helps coordinate the Youth Ministry at Woodland Hills. Kim and Todd have two grade-school-aged children, Peyton and Carter.

Richard Williams is the Media Arts and Technical Director serving under worship pastor, Ted Burden. With over 20 years of ministry experience, including 11 as a senior pastor, Richard is a musician by training and an artist at heart having produced projects across various fine art and non-traditional mediums. His passion however remains creating visual media for the church -- helping connect the message to the hearer. Richard, and his wife, Janice, and their four children, Jackson, Annabeth, Ashleigh and Kevin, live in Hollister.
